Rio Caliente

Hot River!!! Man was it hot!

So we took a trip with our neighbors friends to the Rio Caliente. It was about an hour and a half drive to get there, which is really a long time when your driving in Mexican traffic because they are such SCARY drivers. Any ways we spent the day there with our new found friends, we were hoping to go swimming in it, but it wasn’t quite the type of river we were used to in the states. It was a little narrow, a little shallow, and really REALLY hot. I mean hot, like if you stood in it for 2 minutes, your skin would turn red like a lobster. OUCH! It was a fun little adventure though.

Here are the pictures from it:

I didn’t take the majority of the pictures, my mom did, so Thanks Mom!

It was fun hanging out with everyone and playing in the water, even if we felt like boiling lobsters. hahaha.

Buenos Aires, Guadalajara, Mexico

One of the things my family has been doing down here in Mexico is doing volunteer work on Kingdom Halls of Jehovah’s Witnesses. The first one we worked on was in Buenos Aires which is a part of Guadalajara in Jalisco, Mexico. My family saw it before we started working on it and there was no tile on the floor, some of the walls were not built yet and a few other things hadn’t happened yet. We returned 3 days later and all of this was done, therefore it gained the name “the miracle hall”. The first day we went, we worked on the ceiling, then a couple of weeks later we went back to put in doors. It was amazing to see it all come together. The day we finished the congregation was going to have a meeting. We left at 5:45 and the meeting was at 7oo. It was awesome to see how everything worked out perfectly.

A Day in the Life

Our neighbors had a family visiting and their daughter, Brooke who is 17, spent the day with me and we had some fun being dorks. We got into my brothers hair wax and did some crazy stuff with it. Brooke gave me an epic mohawk and I gave her Sweeny Todd’s wife’s hair from the new movie. Then we made mine stick out weird and we made her look like she was from an 80′s hair band.

Here are some photos to prove such craziness:

Fun times with more to come!
